Just 'chicken' in!!

Good morning! Jeanne here from Jeannes Paper Crafts sharing my design team project!

When I was looking through the PPPR files, I came across this adorable little chicken coop from the On The Farm cutting files. And since I hadn't used the cut before, I figured I needed to. :) And of course the little chick in the Cute Chicks files works perfectly with it!
The card base was created in Silhouette Studio using a file from my library.
The sentiment for my little chick comes form the Jaded Blossom Udderly Adorable stamp set.
Supplies:

Simple Stories Homespun 6x6 paper stack

Give Thanks Pocket Scrapbooking Layout

Soooooo...I JUST realized that I totally did not meet my New Year's Resolutions from last year. The fact that I JUST realized this shows just how busy I've been, I guess. One of my resolutions was to create at least one scrapbook layout (traditional or pocket-style) a month. You want to know how many I've finished this year up until now? One. Yep, just one. Well, now I can happily say that I've finished two, so I'm only about 6 months behind...LOL. Oh, well. In order to get SOME photos in a book, I decided to go with a pocket scrapbooking layout. I have some Thanksgiving photos from last year in my box of printed photos, so I thought I'd get those in some page protectors for an album. This turned out to be really simple because I used the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Thankful Pocket Cards to help me out. Here's my layout:

These files come as PNG files, so I just opened them in my Silhouette Studio Designer Edition software. Once I had them opened, I resized them to measure 3x4ish and 4x6ish. The images are a little smaller than this so they would fit in the pockets as-is. So, I could have just printed out the PDF file that comes with the set and cut them out with my paper trimmer, but I wanted rounded corners without having to use my corner rounder. Anyway...once I had them resized, I drew some rounded rectangles using the Rouded Rectangle Tool in the software, and I sized them to 2.9 x 3.9 and 3.9 x 5.9. That way, there would be a "bleed" around my cards so I wouldn't get those pesky white outlines that sometimes show up when you print and cut. Here's what my screen looked like. It's a little hard to see here, but there is a slight border of color/pattern around the cut lines...you can click the photo to see a larger image. (I colored the lines blue so they'd show up better for you. Don't do that to yours, or the color will print.)

And, that's it...one more layout down, six to go. Whew! Someday, I'll find those extra hours in the day that I seem to be missing. LOL.

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you are having a wonderful weekend, and Happy Labor Day to my US friends. :D

Hi, and Happy Thursday!

Gloria here from Gloria's Goofy Craft Spot. I hope everyone is having a great week. Today I would like to share a Birthday card I made for hubby to give to his dad. I used a VersaMarker pen to do an outline around the bottles and did some inking around the green pieces of paper as well with Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress ink. For the cute and silly faces I used Peachy Keen The Cornies Face Assortment stamp set. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from "PBD Birthday Birthday stamp set" and the Papi (Dad) sentiment is from the PBD Mi Familia stamp set.
 What I used:
Peachy Keen The Cornies Face Assortment stamp set

Summer Fun Layout

Good Morning!

Hope you're having a great week.  My boys went back to school a couple of weeks ago and I thought it would be fun to scrapbook some of their summer pictures.  My boys lived in our pool this summer so I have a lot of pool pictures to scrapbook.

I made the background shapes using the Sentiment Spots 1 Cutting Files and the Layered Labels 1 Cutting Files.

The "Fun" part of my title is from the Camping Fun Cutting Files.  I created the shadow behind "Fun" in the Silhouette Studio.  For the "Summer" part of my title I used the Popsicle Fever Cutting Files.  I just cut the "A Taste of" part off of Summer in the Silhouette Studio.

The boy jumping in the pool is from the Diving Boy Cutting Files.  For his face I used Peachy Keen's In the Garden Face Assortment.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a great week.

Life's A Circus Card

It's Nanné here to share a whimsical card that I created using some of my favorite Graphic45 papers (Le Cirque collection) and the elephant from the Birthday Critters cutting file.
I wanted to look like the elephant was holding a magic feather :)  Us Disney movie fans know where that idea came from..LOL
I also created rosette from the scalloped edge cutting file.. It was super easy by adding folding lines and smooshing it all together.. punched a 1" circle for the bottom and added a shiny brad to the center, tucking the feathers up top..

Here is what I created:
because I added an "off the page" element (feather), it was a bit a difficult to photograph :)

side view.. lost of layers using foam dots..

how about some close ups and details:

I folded a long piece of paper and then added the sentiment on top of that..
for the banners I used the Sentiment spots cutting file..

This has to be the cutest elephant ever :)
He can be found in the Birthday Critters cutting file

The scalloped border that I used to create rosette is in the
Borders2 cutting file.. I cut two of them at 6" long, adhered them together at
both ends and then pushed the center down onto a 1" circle cut..
Super fun and easy :)

and there ya have my fun Circus themed card..
decided this would make a great birthday card :)
so, till next time...
Hugs
Nanné

Bacon & Eggs

Hello Everyone, Happy Sunday! Brianna here with you all for today Pretty Paper Post :D
I used many different files today on my print and cut card. I went with print and cut because I wanted to be able to make quick duplicates of this card.

Files Used:
Bacon & Eggs Cutting Files, Cupid Cutting Files, Man, Oh Man Pattern Pack, Summer Brights Chevron & Stripes
Bacon & Egg Cutting FilesCupid Cutting FilesMan, Oh Man Pattern Pack 1
Summer Brights Chevron & Stripes

I typed up the sentiment in my silhouette and since this was a print and cut I just typed it right on top of the card. I did decide to add a button and some jute but when I reproduce these, they will just be plain. I added some highlights to my bacon, egg and hearts using a white gel pen. The black stitching was created using my black gel pen. I wasn't sure if I wanted faces on my fun food but in the end decided to go with some Peachy Keen Stamps.
I hope you all enjoy my fun whimsical card?
thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Hey, everyone!  I'm excited to let you know that I'm having another Design Team Call.  Design team members will help me showcase my Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons cutting files, clip art, and digital papers.  I have a few spots opening up on the team, and I'd love to add some other talented crafters to our group.

Here's the details about my DT Call:

For the Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons Design Team, I'm looking for crafters who:

1.  Are willing and able to use svgs/cutting files, clip art, and digital papers on projects.
2.  Have a blog where they post regularly.  Showcasing projects in well-lit, well taken photos is important.
3.  Are active on Facebook.  Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube are pluses, too!
4.  Are able to post a project that uses PPPR files at least every other week on my blog and their own.

7.  Are able to serve for at least 6 months, starting October 2014.

Design Team members will regularly receive free files and discounts from www.prettypapergraphics.com.

Here's what you need to do if you're interested in being a part of the PPPR Design Team:

1. Choose 3 of your favorite projects.  They can be projects you've created in the past or new ones you make just for this DT Call. Be sure you include projects that show off a range of your talents, including your use of svgs/cutting files, clip art, and/or digital papers. I'd love to see a project using PPPR files, but that's not a requirement. :)
